2007 45' Layton Custom Carolina Express Sportfish
"Break Time" was built by Layton Boatworks in Edenton, NC. The current owner bought her in 2018 from the original owner. She has been meticulously maintained throughout her life and the current owner has continued this care with an "open check book" policy. She's had many major upgrades the last 4 yrs including a 2025 re-power with new 715hp CAT C-12s which give her an honest 33kt cruise at 1950rpms at approximately 75% load. With a clean bottom she turns 2360rpms. The motors are under warranty for 2yrs with 8 more years of warranty available to purchase. They currently have approximately 150hrs on them. The boat only has approximately 3975 total hrs on her!
She has the look of a Carolina boat but is fiberglass. Her ride is incredible and I don't think you will find a better one in her size class or even bigger! The ride is soft and dry in most conditions and I know because I have run her along with the owner since he got her."Break Time" is completely turn key and ready to fish or travel tomorrow. The fish seem to like her too!
