Here is the 2002 Contender 31 Fisharound in Houma, LA, just southwest of New Orleans.
Are you looking for a fishing boat that will take you offshore and back? This Contender can do that, and it's available at a very reasonable price.
This 31-foot fishing machine has twin 300 HP Yamaha outboards that provide lots of power. These engines will achieve a top-end speed of 55 mph. The motors are equipped with Seastar steering, a custom-made steering system with stainless steel hydraulics.
The deep-V design of the hull is perfect when encountering swells and chop and will safely assist in making your way through.
The deck is designed for fishing. There is plenty of room for your party to fish comfortably. The boat is designed for trolling and down riggers are included. There is a half tower on top of the boat for sighting Cobia or seeing the grass mats offshore where fish congregate. There is also a bait and tackle station that includes a cutting board and tackle rigging area.
The seller replaced the stock cockpit seating with a custom-made insulated fish box and leaning post/seating. The fish box holds approximately 622 quarts. The original deck fish boxes are still usable.
There is a cuddy cabin with a V-berth, sink, shower, and toilet. The cabin has an air conditioner and there is a generator on board as well (neither has been recently used).
Electronics include a Garmin EchoMap SV with sonar/fish finder/plotter and a Garmin GPS Map 4208 with a dual-band transducer that integrates with Radar and XM Weather.
The boat is completed with a front bow, and lounge area, with well well-cushioned seating area.
The package includes a 3 axle, aluminum trailer, and 2 spare tires.
