Spindrift 42 Sportfish Catamaran

The new Spindrift 42 is an outboard powered, hydrofoil supported high performance fishing machine. Developed for a very experienced sport fisherman to be an extremely versatile boat that can travel comfortably and quickly to offshore fishing grounds AND be a fun boat for family outings.

Narrow and widely separated hulls will provide comfortable motion in a seaway with minimal hull slamming. The incorporation of a Hysucat hydrofoil between the two hulls not only increases speed and range by 25% over non-foil configurations but dampens the vertical accelerations allowing a more comfortable ride.

Construction is all foam core using epoxy resin infusion under vacuum providing the strongest laminate at the lightest weight. Carbon fiber skins are used for the deckhouse and flybridge further minimizing weight aloft.

While the deckhouse configuration allows a complete "walk around" in the manner of most center console sportfishing boats the wide overall beam allows a versatile interior with a fully protected steering station, large settee with table, refrigeration, sink and ample storage. An enclosed head and separate berth round out a comfort level seldom seen in a center console fishing machine.

A flybridge with full steering/navigation control can be included if desired.

Power is by twin Verado 400 HP outboards. Max speed will be over 45 kts.
