Fiberglass/Reinforced
The Chris Craft Commander line has been known as one of the most solid hulls out there. In the early years of fiberglass boats Chris Craft did not trust that fiberglass would make for solid hulls so they built framing which other builders did not and they laid the layers of glass mat on heavy to be sure it would be solid. They also used a very thick gelcoat to produce a long lasting shine. This Commander is in amazing condition, the original gelcoat is glossy which is incredible for a 56 year old boat! This boat also had a major update several years ago which included replacing the engine with a brand new Mercruiser 350 Mag Mpi inboard complete with new transmission. It also had a new Norcold refrigerator installed, a transom shower, and several other updates at that time as well.
Features include: Stereo/CD, Standard Horizon VHF radio, President depthfinder, Ritchie compass, remote spotlight, windshield wipers, trim tabs, port side dinette, refreshment center with stainless steel sink and drawer storage space, 12v/110v Norcold refrigerator, upholstered engine box, full width aft bench, transom shower, swim platform with ladder, and custom cover protecting from the windshield back. This boat has had the same owner for nearly 30 years and has been maintained very well during this time.
