Fiberglass/Reinforced
The 315 Commander was produced from 1983 to 1990. This 1988 example reflects the upgrades to the model that year. Raised engine boxes made service more accessible, and the interior was reconfigured with the head aft and red oak decor.
The 315 has a fantastic layout for a 31' Flybridge. More spacious than a 31' Bertram in both the cabin and flybridge, Chris-Craft designers managed to accomplish this without comprising space in the cockpit. This has made families who enjoy cruising, diving, and fishing extremely happy over the years.
O Dark 30 was repowered in 2019 by Marine Diesel Services, receiving factory-reconditioned Cummins 6bt 220hp engines. Thanks to the 315 Commanders Modified V-hull, these reliable power plants provide adequate speed and excellent fuel economy. On a recent sea trial, I found her quick to plane, cruising at 18kts with a top speed of 21kts.
This hull has also proven exceptionally stable while trolling, at anchor, and on a mooring.
O Dark 30 also has a very well-done removable swim step. Fabricated by Fishing Boats Unlimited, this tastefully done modification allows O Dark 30 to fit into a 30' slip!
O Dark 30 is a terrific example of a well-cared-for, properly outfitted pocket sport fisher. A knowledgeable family has tailored her to fish and cruise the waters of southern California.
She's had new carpet installed in the interior and just had the heat exchangers done. She is ready to go!
She's been a faithful ride for many years and she's ready for her next chapter!
