This is a two-owner boat! The DeVoge's purchased in 2006. This boat was sold new to Mr. Vowinkle of Clarion, PA. Mr. Vowinkle and 4 friends purchased 5 1959 Chris Crafts which qualified them as a Chris Craft dealer. The 283 c.i. engine was replaced with a 350 c.i. by Mr. Vowinkle using all of the original Chris Craft parts on the new short block engine. Runs perfectly. Tachometer needs repaired. The mahogany hull was completely refurbished by the Miklos family for the DeVoge's. 2.5 frame's 13 planks, and transom were replaced. The bottom was refitted using new mahogany and 3M - 5200 epoxy. Now the boat requires no swelling and is water tight. The bilge is clean - no oil leaks. The trailer is the original purchased with the boat new. The brand name is Alloy. I suspect that the original title was misplaced or the trailer was never titled and registered before misplacing the MSO. Thus, Vowinkle titled it "SP CONST" and ownership was simply transferred as is. The trailer was sandblasted and painted. The wheels, tires, bearings, and seals were replaced around 2015. Carpeted bunks were added to better support the boat.
