We are pleased to present this updated Blue Water Sailing Vessel with her aft cockpit design.
Refitting started in California a number of years ago and initially included removing the teak decks and wood mast. A 55ft aluminum mast and new rigging were installed, and a new boat was born. She has since been repowered and much more..
She has recently had a roller furling added to the staysail, and the main was converted to a roller-furled boom.
There are many additional upgrades and features.
Her owner was equipping her for a perfect Airbnb. While a few projects remain to make her what he envisioned, the heavy lifting and expensive effort are complete.
Let her owner's change in plans be your opportunity to own this true sailing vessel.
She needs to find the open waters to take full advantage of her sailing attributes.
With two staterooms and two freshwater heads, she would make a perfect live-aboard.
Forward Stateroom
Updated and includes a modified queen berth.
The berth has a memory foam mattress which has never been slept on.
A separate forward air conditioner was added below the birth for easy access.
Aft Stateroom
This berth also has a memory foam mattress that has never been slept on. This is a Queen berth.
The aft portion of the vessel is cooled by an 18,000 BTU Dometic air conditioner with digital controls.
Heads (2)
Both of the heads have been recently updated to silent flush freshwater toilets.
Salon
The salon is midship and spacious. She is just aft of the galley for a large and open feeling.
The new headliner throughout most of the interior was installed with new low power LED lighting throughout.
Mid ship is the spacious salon and just aft is the galley. The salon includes two large couches and also has a built-in vacuum system. The double folding leaf table easily sits 6 with room to spare.
Galley
The galley has two refrigeration units. The aft is an isotherm top load 12 V unit and the forward is a dual fridge / freezer, and is also top load and 12 v. All of the refrigeration and lighting works effortlessly with the solar and battery system. The hot water heater and freshwater pump system were also recently replaced. There is a gimbled 3 burner stove and oven combination witch is propane fired.
On deck there is a new nav pod with Raymarine depth and speed gauges and a newer Raymarine chart plotter. There is a large folding leaf teak cockpit table and a new bulkhead mounted compass.
The stainless steel hard top cover the entire cockpit area and was added 3 years ago. Above the helm are two solar panels.
A tinted deck hatch was added to allow visibility of the main sail.
There is also led centerline and accent lighting.
There is also a second VHF in this pod.
The bottom was done, and the bow thruster was installed fifteen months ago.
On deck the entire walking surface has been covered in newly installed Seadeck. New hardware for both the main and staysail has also recently been added.
You may ask why I am so high on this boat. Why this boat?
Her owner is a real sailor, craftsman, and naval architect.
But the real reason I know so much about him and this boat is the same owner and captain who renovated my entire 1988 house in Palm City. He took her down to the studs and incorporated upgrades that I could have never imagined.
His work is quality!
She has been owned for several years by a proven craftsman who has upgraded several boats. His work on his own boat has often been interrupted by other contracts and requirement but she shows his love and the attention to detail he puts in all of his work. Her recent decking took longer than he had planned but she is ready for a new crew.
Since she is a boat and a sailboat at that there will always be something else he would like to add. Come she her and be ready to be pleased.
