KASHMIR, a 2006 Catalina 400 mkII, is a 41'6" aft cockpit sloop rigged cruising sailing yacht that has been professionally maintained. She has a recently installed Beta-50 48 HP engine (Jan 2026) and a TPC-60 transmission (Jan 2026.) One of the most striking features of the cockpit is the duel Port and Starboard helm stations allowing the sailor to enjoy the benefits of safety, visibility for the helmsman and easy stern access. The dual helms make for easy docking and the throttle is on the starboard helm. A large central folding cockpit table with center storage accommodates the entire crew. The stainless steel arch/tower has dinghy davits and 4 top mounted solar panels. Other features include an LP locker for 10 lb aluminum propane tank, additional stern locker, swim ladder, a hot/cold cockpit shower and cockpit cushions (October 2021.).
Ingress is via a companion way ladder forward of the cockpit. An aft stateroom, located under the cockpit and aft of the salon and entered via the port side passageway, has a queen size inner-spring mattress with ample storage room underneath, large side storage areas, storage shelves and a large cabinet/hanging locker. This aft cabin has private access to the head with stall shower. The electric head has been converted for fresh water, there is a stainless steel vanity sink, separate glass door shower stall with the shower sump pump replaced in 2024, 18 gallon holding tank with macerator/discharge pump replaced in 2019 and removable teak flooring.
From the companion way to starboard is the galley which features a molded countertop, top and vertical access to the refrigerator/freezer and a 3 burner stove/oven with a stainless steel hood, double stainless steel sink with a faucet that was installed in 2023, Microwave (2023), top loading under-counter pantry and multiple cabinets/drawers/shelves for ample storage. Port of the galley is the navigation station.
The main salon/dining area is an inviting area with deep comfortables settees and a large dining table. The dinette table to starboard lowers to convert to a double berth and on the port side is the nearly 7' settee. Forward of the main salon is the forward head to starboard and the double Vee berth. The Vee berth has an inner-spring mattress, hanging locker, overhead hatch and storage shelves and has access to the forward head. The forward head has a stainless steel vanity sink, Jabsco Pumping raw-water head installed 2022 and an 18 gallon holding tank with Macerator/Discharge pump installed Nov 2025.
There is abundant storage throughout the vessel as well as great ventilation, hatches and port lights.
