As of 12/10/2025 we are lowering the price of this boat by 20,000.00 from 55,000 to 35,000 for a quick sale as we have learned that the starboard deck has an area about 8 ft long that has water intrusion. Plus the current owner is READY to get her in the hands of someone who will enjoy her as much has he has. Bottom line, if we can sell the boat before the end of January if would be helpful to the owner to incentivize the new owner to make his move.
You can walk on the deck and you can sail the boat safely right now, but at some point, now or 10 years from now, someone is going to want to address this deck flaw. And that will cost somewhere between 6,500 and 12,000 depending upon the service provider and their ability.
Located @ Greers Ferry Lake about 1.33 hrs north of Little Rock, Ark. this Wing Keel Catalina 36 Mk 2 with a 4' 5" draft has been in freshwater for the last 12 to 15 years.
Having a reduced mast height when the owner bought the boat, the owner purchased a New TALLER Mast with new rigging about 8 years ago and purchased New Sails for her at that time. In fact, she has a brand new spinnaker that has never been flown !
So, light use for the last 15 years and low hours on the diesel. She would be a great boat for heading to the Caribbean Islands in the not to distant future. And as her current standing rigging as only been in freshwater, you won't have the expense of replacing the standing rigging for a decade or more if she is moved to a saltwater environment.
We can be of assistance in aiming you to marine surveyors and assist with relocation of this Catalina 36 Mk 2 with our own equipment within reasonable distances and can transfer the boat to other long distance haulers if you are of significant distance away.
This Catalina 36 Mk 2 just might be the one for you ! Make an offer close to the 35k and let's get you sailing YOUR own Catalina 36 Mk 2 ! ! She is a great looking and great sailing boat.
IT'S YOUR MOVE ! !
