The Catalina 30, has always had a soft sport in my heart, I owned one just like this one for 15 years back in the 1980s. They were a good sailor, easily sailing it its PHRF rating, huge cockpit, and the most room below of any 30 footer in the industry, it would sleep 7 if you wanted.
The Windancer has fallen on bad times. It's owner has passed away and the estate can't afford to pay the slip fees. It is a total project, but it floats, the "tall-rig" is in place, the diesel engine is all there, though we doubt it will runs, though it might when a battery is hook up.
If someone is looking to bring a great boat back to life, the slip can be maintained, it is in a full service DIY boat yard, with knowledgeable folks standing by to lend support.
It is priced to simply cover its outstand debts. You can have it hauled, clean it up, add a battery and some good used sails and have a wonderful starter boat for next to nothing, that you too could enjoy for the next 15 years.
