Well maintained Catalina 27 ready for sailing with an amazing cabin size and comfort.
This Catalina may only be 27 feet, but it has a lot of room and features of a much larger sailboat.
She has been kept in very good condition and has features such as an inboard motor. but with a tiller that many sailors prefer over a wheel.
The furling jib is a nice addition to the boat that most of her size don't have.
The cockpit is very large and will accommodate 4 adults comfortably but there could be as many as 6 including the Capitan.
Inside the cabin to Port, you will find a dinette large enough for 4 adults, which makes into a bed as well.
On the Starboard side, opposite the dinette, you will find a stove mounted into a large wood countertop with lots of storage, a sink, and an ice box.
Forward of the settee and countertop, is a settee to Port, and a quarter bunk on each side aft of the main cabin.
The ample size V-Berth will accommodate two adults, and just forward of the V-Berth is a head with a manual flush toilet.

The Biggest Pros and Cons
The 1982 Catalina 27 Shoal is a popular cruiser known for its versatility and classic design. Here are some of the key pros and cons of this model:
Pros
Shoal Draft: With a shallow draft of around 3.5 feet, the Catalina 27 Shoal is ideal for sailing in shallow waters, making it great for coastal cruising and exploring bays and coves.
Spacious Interior: Despite its compact size, the boat offers a comfortable and well-designed interior layout, including a functional galley, sleeping accommodations for four to five, and ample storage.
Solid Construction: Built with a robust fiberglass hull, the Catalina 27 is known for its durability and ease of maintenance.
Easy Handling: The boat’s manageable size and sail plan make it suitable for single-handed sailing or small crews, which is perfect for weekend sailors.
Affordability: As a widely produced model, the Catalina 27 Shoal is often available at reasonable prices on the used market, making it accessible for entry-level sailors.
Cons
Performance Limitations: While stable and comfortable, the shoal draft keel can compromise upwind performance and overall speed compared to deeper keel versions.
Interior Space Constraints: Though well laid out, the interior may feel cramped for extended cruising or larger groups.
Aging Design: Being a model from the early 1980s, some systems and fittings may be outdated and require upgrades or maintenance.
Limited Headroom: The cabin headroom is modest, which might be uncomfortable for taller individuals during extended stays aboard.
Made For

It's perfect for individuals or small families who enjoy day sailing, weekend getaways, or exploring shallow bays and coves where larger keelboats cannot venture.
