There were 124 of these traditional Carl Alberg designs built from 1980 through 1985. The Cape Dory 33 is a keel-stepped masthead sloop with powerful lines, a full keel with attached rudder that is easily driven with remarkable tracking characteristics in various wind ranges. She's built for offshore passage making, or coastal or inland enjoyment and provides lots of comfort in a lush hardwood interior of superior joiner work. Here interior is pretty traditional with a double forepeak cabin with a large private head with plenty of cabinets, a hamper, and shower which lies just aft on the port side. There's a hanging locker to starboard. The main salon has port & starboard settees with one that extends to a double. There's a fold up table and teak and holly sole. To starboard of the companionway there's a convenient wet locker. The U-shaped galley is to port with generous work and storage space, with nav station across and a roomy quarter berth just aft.

Sleeps six: two in the V-berth, one in the aft quarter berth, two on the salon port side settee, one on the starboard side settee. Her deck has a wider beam which extends aft for added spaciousness on deck and below. As with all Cape Dory's she's fitted with bronze cleats and chocks, opening ports and other deck hardware. Her design is pleasing to look at as well as functional. She has been continuously upgraded and maintained by an experienced sailor and marina.
