This Boston Whaler 280 Vantage is equipped with optional twin White 300 Mercury Verados and Joystick Piloting for Outboards (JPO) offers a highly advanced and intuitive throttle and

shift system. While the system is advanced, it is the simplest system to operate because the traditional mechanical linkage is replaced by Mercury's Digital Throttle and Shift (DTS), which is seamlessly integrated with the JPO controls.

Digital Throttle and Shift(DTS)

The DTS system provides a smooth, precise, and responsive driving experience, particularly at higher speeds and during normal operation.

• Intuitive operation: The controls eliminate the stiff, clunky feel of mechanical cables, offering a linear and immediate response to throttle and shift inputs.
• Built-in safety: A neutral lock mechanism on the throttle prevents accidental engagement of forward or reverse gear.
• Ergonomic design: The throttle lever includes convenient thumb buttons for adjusting the trim of the Verado outboards.
