The Birchwood 42 Empress Motoryacht is an impressive vessel. Built in England, these boats are known for their quality. PHUKET's owners have owned her for over 20 years and have taken good care of her. She has four cabins including a forward cabin with centerline double berth and ensuite head and an aft cabin featuring a centerline double berth, ensuite head, and separate shower stall. She is out of the water (won't be launching this season) and may be easily viewed. PHUKET has a diesel generator and dual zone air conditioning. Owners are selling for health reasons. Sleeps 6-8 in four cabins. Forward cabin features centerline double berth with ensuite head to starboard with vanity and hand-held shower. Hanging locker to port. Next aft to port is a double cabin featuring upper and lower single berths. Galley opposite to starboard. Up three steps to main salon. Main salon features lower helm station forward to port, settee aft to port. Circular dinette opposite to starboard. TV on shelf in aft port corner. Down five steps to aft cabin which features a centerline double berth, enclosed head with vanity to port, and an enclosed shower stall opposite to starboard. Dressing tables port and starboard with mirrors and drawers. Entire cabin carpeted. Two zone MarineAir air conditioning systems. Toilets in both heads are electric VacuFlush toilets.
Galley features a Princess three-burner stove with oven, double sinks with hot and cold pressurized water, microwave oven, and Vitrifrigo refrigerator (5.5 cu. ft.) with freezer (2.6 cu. ft.).
12 volt DC and 110 volt systems. 12 volt system has four 12 Group 31 batteries in two banks with battery selector switch and a fifth 12 volt battery for starting the Onan 8.OMDKD-3R11B 3 cyl. diesel generator (approximately 1,000 hours). All batteries were new in 2022.
At upper helm: Standard Horizon GPS Chart 1000C 10" color chart plotter/GPS, Robertson AP300X autopilot with electronic compass, Icom IC-M502 VHF radio transceiver, Standard Horizon MPS100012 loudhailer, Lofrans 12 volt anchor windlass controls.
At lower helm: Icom IC-M80 VHF radio transceiver, Robertson AP300X Autopilot, Raytheon Pathfinder radar, Apelco GPSGXL1100 GPS, Jensen JSM96 AM/FM/CD stereo.
Stainless steel handrails run the length of the vessel. Swim platform attached to stern with folding swim ladder. Anchor roller at bow. Lofrans 12 volt electric anchor windlass on foredeck. Control at upper helm. Flybridge with radar arch.
Anchor with 300' chain. Safety gear including 12 PFD's, two throw life rings, and boat hook. Assorted fenders and docklines.
Both engine manifolds were replaced in around 2019. Both shafts replaced with 1 3/4" stainless steel shafts, replacing original metric shafts. Sea Star hydraulic steering system.
