Broker Comments
The Bertram 57 Sportfish is a legendary offshore sportfishing yacht that seamlessly blends performance, comfort, and rugged dependability. The 57 Bertram, the very same hull as the 54 and 60 but with a revised and better balance owning to a single mid-ship fiberglass fuel tank, gives the very best ride of them all. The 57 Bertram sits and performs the same whether full or empty of fuel as the center of buoyancy and the center of lift are both amidship.
This one owner example was the former tournament winning Bertram demo “Tangled in Blue”. The only owner has kept this 57 in excellent mechanical and cosmetic shape for 21 years with an oil sample done every time the engine oils have been changed. Owing to this level of care and maintenance by an owner who also maintains CAT equipment in his land grading business, these high time CAT 30's have a lot of life in them even given the 9600 hours. All CAT services have been performed according to spec including new aftercooler cores, upgraded turbos and injectors, regular valve lash adjustments and oil changes, to keep the C30 CATS running to spec.
The interior of SONNY BOY has been equally maintained with newer headliners, upgraded granite countertops, upgraded TVs and much more. The washer/dryer was removed in favor of additional storage but all of the plumbing, electrical and venting remains should someone wish to put them back. With her omni sonar and pseudo mezzanine seat in the cockpit, SONNY BOY provides the best comforts and fishing amenities in an older, less expensive package. It was a hard decision for this seller to let go of his venerable 57 Bertram but he knows the next owner will have great use and enjoyment from this bulletproof package. For sale by a market-aware seller, desiring a fair and equitable deal Come take a look at the best value for dollar in a Caterpillar powered, omni sonar equipped, high glass cherry interior, great riding 57 Bertram.
