Based on the highly successful Beneteau 473 and designed by renowned naval architects Berret / Racoupeau Yacht Design, the Beneteau 393 is a unique 39-foot passage maker that answers the long awaited quest for a serious bluewater cruiser. Roomier, more spacious, and boasting some of the best accommodations to be found, the 393 will be sure to please the most scrupulous of sailors.
The Beneteau 393 is a recreational keelboat, built predominantly of glass fibre, with wood trim. The hull is solid fibreglass and the deck is balsa-cored. It has a masthead sloop rig, with a deck-stepped mast, two sets of swept spreaders and aluminium spars with stainless steel wire standing rigging. The hull has a raked stem, a reverse transom with a swimming platform, an internally mounted spade-type rudder controlled by a wheel and a fixed fin keel with a weighted bulb. It displaces 17,152 lb (7,780 kg) and carries 5,357 lb (2,430 kg) of cast iron ballast.

Descending the companionway steps from the cockpit, you enter a spacious main salon, with a dinette to port, which converts to a double berth, and just aft the navigation station. Here you find the AC and DC panels, the VHF and AM/FM radios, along with the AirCon control panel.
Aft of the navigation station is the aft guest cabins to port and starboard. the Yanmar engine can be accessed under the companionway steps. The engine compartment is exceptionally clean. The aft head is to starboard. As you move forward, and opposite the dinette, you find the galley, with a double stainless steel sink, top loading fridge and freezer and two burner gas stove/oven.
Moving forward you enter the owner's cabin, with the pullman berth, set to port with storage underneath and a hanging locker on the starboard side. In the forepeak is the second head which comes with a new Raritan electric toilet (2022).

The Beneteau 393 is a masthead sloop rig, with a deck-stepped mast, two sets of swept spreaders and aluminum spars with stainless steel wire standing rigging. The in-mast furling for the mainsail and a Furlex furler for the genoa. The sails (mainsail, genoa, and jib) and running rigging are new in 2020. There is also a cruising gennaker (w/sock).
