The Bayliner 4788 Pilothouse Motor Yacht remains one of the most in demand models her size on the market. In production from 1994-2002. Meridian Yachts purchased the rights, rebranded the same layout calling her the 490 Pilothouse from 2003-2008.
The "home run" design of the 4788/490 is her short distance from the Pilothouse station to the Flybridge station through bi-level hatch, measured as less than10 steps. Port & starboard pilot doors leading to the bow and access stairs de-boarding the aft bridge deck to the transom cockpit. Maneuvering your way around this 54' vessel is very easy. Lower Pilothouse station looks more like an aircraft cockpit with everything in reach. "L" shaped settee w/table behind the helm means everyone can enjoy the wide view along with the skipper while underway. Storage is also available under the seating. The flybridge helm is equally as comfortable with lounger seat, "L" shaped settee, access to the wet bar & refrigerator. Radar Arch, Bimini Top and storage is available under seating as well.

"EPIC" is powered with the preferred 370HP Cummins 6BTA 5.9 Lit Diamond Series Diesels. Also equipped with the 12.5KW Westerbeke Generator, over some models having the 8KW. She has plenty of horsepower and plenty of generator power!
Cockpit entry into the main salon through sliding glass door with large wrap around settee, dinette table w/folding leafs. The salon is very spacious with large windows all the way around providing excellent visibility. Galley up model to the port side keeping everyone on the same level with corian counter tops, double sinks, stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, coffee maker, trash compactor and storage above & below.
