Revolutionary Open-Plan Design: Live Without Boundaries

Step aboard and feel the magic of Bali's signature "open concept." The forward cockpit seamlessly connects the saloon, galley, and flybridge into one expansive, airy lounge—perfect for al fresco dining under the stars or casual gatherings with up to 12 guests. Retractable glass panels and Bali trademark tilting door vanish barriers between indoor luxury and the ocean's embrace, creating a 360-degree panoramic view that makes every sunset feel personal. No clunky bulkheads, no confined spaces—just pure, flowing freedom.

Flybridge Lounge & Helm: Command the Horizon in Style

Elevate your experience on the expansive flybridge—Bali’s crowning jewel. The centralized helm station delivers fingertip control with chartplotter,  autopilot and sail controls, all within arm’s reach of the captain’s seat. Wraparound L-shaped lounges seat 10 in plush, weather-resistant upholstery, converting to sunpads or a full dining area with a retractable table. A wet bar with fridge, sink, and optional grill keeps refreshments flowing, while the hardtop bimini with integrated LED lighting provides shade without sacrificing views. It’s not just a helm—it’s your sky-high salon, where every tack feels like a celebration.

Owner’s Master Suite: A Private Penthouse on the Water

In the Owner’s Version of the Bali 5.8, the entire starboard hull is transformed into a breathtaking master suite—a floating residence that rivals the finest waterfront villas. Enter through a private companionway from the saloon and descend into a world of serenity. The suite spans the full beam of the hull, with large hull windows flooding the space with natural light and ocean views. An island berth sits aft just steps away from a door that opening directly onto the aft cockpit—step out for morning coffee or midnight stargazing without ever leaving your domain.

Construction

Born from the renowned Catana Group with over 30 years of boatbuilding expertise, Bali catamarans are constructed using advanced vacuum infusion techniques with high-quality composite materials. This process ensures maximum strength with minimal weight, resulting in a boat that is both sturdy and efficient under sail. The solid foredeck and rigid forward cockpit—hallmarks of the Bali design—are reinforced with high-density foam cores, delivering unmatched structural integrity and comfort at sea.

Unlike traditional catamarans with trampoline bows and separate cockpit/saloon areas, Bali’s monobloc construction allows for seamless, one-piece integration of living and sailing spaces. This approach improves stiffness, reduces flex and enhances overall comfort—whether you’re underway or on anchor.

  • Hull built in one piece for greater stiffness
  • GRP / PVC foam core sandwich polyester resin infused. (No balsa wood core material)
  • Anti osmotic vinylester underwater hull protection
Sailing Performance: The Bruce Number

The Bruce Number is the multihull’s “speed IQ” — a single number that reveals how fast a catamaran or trimaran can go, based on how light it is and how much sail it carries.

For the Bali 5.8, a Bruce Number of 1.35 means:

  • Fast enough for 200+ nm days
  • Easy enough for a couple to handle
  • Comfortable enough for 10 guests

It’s the Goldilocks zone of multihull performance.
