The Allied Mistress 39 is described as being "aimed at the cruising yachtsman who wants more comfort, privacy, and docility than the currently popular fin keel/spade rudder racing machine offers".
The Mistress was the largest of the original fleet Allied built. This is a rare aft cockpit model, we believe her to be the last built.
Bojangles has traveled the world under the previous owner and is currently undergoing a refit to be able to do it again.
Her long keel, shallow draft and 700 sq. ft. ketch rig make her an easily driven, easily handled vessel with good potential for island cruising. Sail area can be reduced quickly and drastically by dropping the main and running under the working jib and mizzen thus reducing crew requirements.
Mast height is a bridge-friendly 56', making her very stable and stiff.
Furling Genoa and staysail make for lots of options in both light and heavy wind.
