Spring Tides designed by John G. Alden Inc. designated design #949C the hull molded by Halmatic in the UK built in Denmark by Paul Molich stands out for its heavy construction, excellent righting capabilities and steady handling.  She is well suited for the Sound and beyond. The diesel auxiliury motor was replaced in 1991 with a Perkens 35 HP diesel and a major restoration on Spring Tides was completed in 2003 that included super structurer - cabin / cockpit, new aluminum fuel tanks and rigging.  The masts are aluminum the booms are spruce.  She needs a new home for someone who will enjoy this classic Alden Challenger yawl.  She presently located at the Dutch Wharf Boat Yard, Branford, CT shown by appointment.
