The Alden 43 Aft Cockpit is a remarkable Racer/Cruiser that seamlessly blends performance with comfort. Powered by a reliable 63 hp Westerbeke diesel engine, it features a direct drive system and a robust bronze 3-blade Max propeller, promising smooth sailing and efficient maneuverability. Her interior offers two well-appointed cabins and two heads, providing ample space for relaxation and privacy. An electric windlass enhances convenience, making anchoring a breeze.

"Soñador" is a rare Alden 43 with minimal teak for easy maintenance. Her previous owners having done numerous Bermuda Races aboard an Alden 43 purchased her to race once again in the Newport-Bermuda Race. In preparation, her knowledgeable owners did a major re-fit and upon completion, their hopes were dashed when the race was cancelled due to Covid. All systems had been thoroughly evaluated and updated. All standing and running rigging was replaced, the decks were refurbished, electronics upgraded as well as all safety related components. Her owners at that time then decided to put her on the market.

Her current, very experienced owners were looking to get back into sailing and looked at many exceptional, well-equipped boats. They were fortunate to be in the right place at the right time when Soñador came on the market; fresh from her re-fit. From the very start of ownership and over the last six years they have continuously made improvements to her equipment and added to her sailing qualities to ensure she remains one of the most dazzling, well equipped classics on the water. They have enjoyed sailing her in the waters of New England including cruises to Maine, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket. They are very attentive owners and always see to it that all rigging, sails, mechanical components, and systems are kept in top working order. Simply put, she's a turn key boat that will provide her next owners with many of the same magical experiences that they've had aboard.
