Albin 28 Tournament Express
The Albin 28 Tournament Express is the forerunner of the Albin Tournament Express series. Designed to satisfy the exacting demands of the offshore - inshore fisherman, this boat also incorporates comforts normally expected for a family weekend on the water. Features appealing to the fisherman include wide side decks, a large cockpit, a recirculating baitwell, rod storage racks, a sink with a chopping board, rod holders, salt water washdown and tackle drawers. The forward cabin area has an enclosed marine head and shower compartment, a convertible dinette and a galley area with stove, refrigerator, microwave and sink. Aft of the galley is a 6-foot 6-inch x 3-foot 10-inch berth. Six opening portholes and an overhead hatch provide excellent ventilation. With its bow thruster for dock-side maneuvering and its unequalled reputation as an offshore - inshore fishing boat, the Albin 28 is a true delight to handle in any weather.
Accommodations
There is a double berth aft of the Galley area. The Dinette seating area converts to a Queen size berth that allows 2 to sleep in comfort. Both the settee and berth cushions feature high-density foam with fabric covers for easy cleaning. Accent lighting and Courtesy lights are found in the cabin and head areas. The head is located in the forward cabin area and is enclosed. There is a full-sized Head/Shower with Marine Toilet and Hand Basin with dedicated sump pump-out.

Double quarter berth port aft.

There are six (6) portholes with screens in the forward cabin and a large opening Hatch in the forward cabin roof.

Safely stored in the seller's garage is the removable cockpit seat. It is in excellent condition and is included in the sale. It was removed prior to hurricane season.
Deck & Hull
This Albin Tournament Express 'downeaster' style has beautiful design lines and owes its heritage to the Northeast working boats.

The pilot house boasts a full hard top and windshield that is perfect for year round use. The hard top has a foldable extension that will provide shade for the entire cockpit or if you are fishing for the big one, it folds out of the way (the canvas for this bimini was destroyed in the recent hurricane, but the frame is undamaged).

Big cleats, walk-around decks and a bow thruster contribute to easy docking and departures. A huge safety and aesthetic improvement is the addition of SeaDeck decking aboard. It's a massive improvement and feels very soft and safe under foot, yet hoses down like it never happened.
Whether seated or standing, you get commanding views from inside the wheelhouse and a head room is in excess of 6'2".

There is a complete aft bimini frame, but no canvas is included.
Electrical
There is easy access to the AC & DC Circuit Breaker Panels at eye level in the salon.  110V outlets with GFI protection are found throughout the boat.
Dockside service 30 amp
Battery charger
Full engine instrumentation with audible alarms
Mechanical Systems
This is a boat that will work as a small cruiser, commuter, or as an extended range fishing machine. There is potential sleeping accommodations for four and an enclosed head below. The single Yanmar 6 cylinder, 315 hp diesel provides efficient and reliable power with easy cruising at about 17 knots and a top speed of 23 knots.

Having a propeller and shaft versus a drive leg increases reliability and reduces maintenance costs. The prop and rudder are protected by a shoe.

The boat includes anchor windlass and Lewmar bow thruster.
