All work has been done professionally and meets all ABYC standards. The list of replaced and upgraded components is extensive and includes major and minor items throughout the boat.

Two new Lifeline AGM 220A batteries were installed for the house bank and a new starting battery was installed. All new battery wiring.  Shore-side charging is protected from inadvertent reverse polarity. Balmar battery combiner and three-stage charging keep the battery banks at optimal charge while running the engine.

Deck and Topsides

The old weathered teak decks were removed, except for the cockpit seats. Decks were faired, Awl-Gripped, and Tread Master non-skid was applied. Old teak hatch bases were removed and replaced with GRP bases. Cabin sides and deck were faired and Awl-Gripped. Hull was sanded, faired and painted with Flag Blue Awl Grip. Below the waterline the hull was sanded, faired, and epoxy coated prior to being painted.

Construction Details

The hull is heavily laid up fiberglass, solid without coring or sandwiching.

Deck is FRP with balsa coring, all coring is sound and dry. Solid plywood in way of all thru-deck penetrations and structural fastening (i.e. stanchions, winches etc.). The deck/hull joint is of the inside flange type, with marine adhesive and thru-bolts every 6”, capped with massive teak toe rail.

Decks were originally teak. The teak was removed, the deck surface faired and painted with Awl Grip, and Treadmaster non-skid decking was applied. All deck hardware was bedded and reinstalled.

Anchor roller/pulpit was reinstalled. There is a heavy bronze roller for chain or rode.

Ballast is fully encapsulated iron casting – no hull joint, no leaking.

Accommodations
