New Gel Coat & Paint
Sabreline Gel-coat issues: If you are looking at Sabrelines from this era, you are probably familiar that all of these vessels have gel-coat crazing issues, most quite severe. The process for repair is extensive and costly. It requires a yard capable of striping the outer layer of gel-coat and reapplying either new gel-coat or paint. This process can cost between $35,000 and $50,000 depending on the location and materials chosen. The other issue is time. It could take several months to get an appointment and then, several weeks to complete the repair. The good news is that Blue Moon has been stripped and painted from top to bottom. Upon purchase, cruising may commence immediately.
