Built in the Ott yard in Germany and sold under Bianca Yachts, the Aphrodite 101 is known for its sleek design, tall rig and well thought out winch positioning which makes for an easy shorthandling. This boat is one of ten boats brought into Seattle in the late seventies to start a one design fleet. There are still a number of 101's located in the Pacific Northwest. The current owner is the second owner and has owned "Prism" for 38 years. In 2005 the boat went through a total refit. Seaview West Boatyard did a bottom peel, re-glassed the bottom with vinylester resin and epoxy barrier coat. Bottom paint is Petit Vivid (2 gal white to 1 qt white) Top sides were painted and non-skid applied with Awl Grip "Graystone." The hull was painted with Awl Grip "Sky Blue" Thru-hull gate halves were replaced with ball valves. New teak cockpit sears were installed. The existing engine was replaced with a new 1GM Yanmar 10 and a new Gori folding prop was installed. Last haul-out 8/17/2023 Seaview West Boatyard - New Bottom Paint, 2 coats petit Vivid, new anodes, Prop treated with Barnacle Barrier Zinc Coating
