HULL & DECK:

• If it were a traditional displacement hull, the Camano 31 would putt along at less than seven knots while covering about 600 miles on its 100 gallons of fuel.
• If it were a planing boat, speed would be limited mostly by available horsepower and fuel availability.
• At a steady 12 knots, the fuel aboard will carry her about 350 miles.
• The Camano is not a displacement boat; nor is it a planer.
• It is sort of both, but it is not a typical semi-displacement boat either.
• Forward, her stem is deep as it would be in a displacement hull.
• Aft, the bottom flattens out into hard chines just like a planing boat, but then there's that huge keel hanging down that would never be found on a planing yacht.
• This keel, which provides about 25 percent of the hull's displacement, is one of the elements in the Warman design that makes the Camano an adept performer at any speed.
• As the boat accelerates, Warman's keel provides buoyancy that helps keep the transom from digging a hole in the sea and the Camano pops quickly onto a plane.
• The bow lifts only slightly as the boat approaches 20 knots and there is little bow wake at any speed.
• Trim tabs are not needed to keep the boat running true and level as the hull shape takes a slightly downward angle just forward of the aft end providing lift.
• "The hull was designed to run at the 12 knots everyone asks for," Warman said.
• Molded solid FRP laminate hull construction with gelcoat exterior finish and post applied interior gelcoat finish Composite bulkheads and FRP stringers bonded to hull provide lateral and longitudinal stiffness.
• Additionally, the hull is fitted with a pre-molded FRP interior assembly bonded to the hull interior adding further stiffness to the hull construction Decks and cabin house are a single piece unit molded of solid FRP and cored FRP construction with white exterior gelcoat in smooth and non-skid surfaces. Decks and cabin house are joined to hull by over-lapping joint with stainless steel fasteners and adhesive bedding compounds.
• Molded solid and cored FRP laminate cabin top joined to cabin sides by overlapping joint with stainless steel fasteners and adhesive bedding compounds.
• Included in this fabrication is an upper flange for installation of flybridge fairing.
• Gelcoat exterior finish to cabin top with smooth areas around the perimeter and molded non-skid on the upper (flybridge area) surface.
• Solid and cored FRP laminate construction flybridge fairing incorporating the upper steering station console.
• Starting aft one comes aboard by way of an FRP swim platform and thru a center line opening door into the aft cockpit area.
• The cockpit has storage shelves set into the cockpit bulwarks port and starboard of the opening door, an opening hatch in the cockpit sole offering access to steering gear and storage space and a designated, sealed and vented propane locker.
• Moving out of the cockpit you can access the bow areas by way of either port or starboard side decks, climb up the access ladder to the flybridge or go thru the aft bulkhead door into the main salon.
• The bow area (forward of cabin) is a nice stable platform for anchoring or handling dock lines and the flybridge area with it's upper control station not only allows for outside control of the boat but is also a big enough area for to allow for up to 6people to hang out and enjoy the view.

• Kobelt lever controls for throttle and transmission located at upper and lower helm stations.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

• Enter the interior spaces by way of the door from the cockpit in the aft starboard corner of the main salon.
• The first thing that you will notice is how open the interior spaces feel as a direct result of the 360-degree views to the outside provided by fixed windows forward and opening windows port, starboard and aft and also by the use of light and muted colors for carpeting, cushions and interior finishes all accented by varnished teak trim for joinery and bold black finishes for window frames.
• Immediately to port is a L-shaped settee / dinette with an adjustable height table.
• The table can be lowered, and cushions added to convert this space into a comfortable double berth.
• The table has been modified so that the previously single piece tabletop is now a two-piece tabletop where the two halves can be adjusted up or down independently of each other.
• This change allows the seating arrangement to change allowing for more people at the dining table or (as the current owners use it) to make for two comfortable lounge chairs with a table between for books, snacks, or anything else one might need to spend some down-time in comfort.
• Forward of the settee/dinette is counter space separating the main salon area from the galley area (forward and below).
• When you enter the interior spaces of the main salon from the door aft and look forward you'll see a clear path to the lower helm station and while walking towards the helm you will pass storage space and the ship's electrical panel built-in along the starboard wall of the main salon.
• In the middle of the main salon floor you will find an opening hatch leading to the engine and systems area.
• This below decks area is sound insulated which along with the main salon carpeting really cuts down engine noise when running and virtually eliminates systems noises when at rest.
• Forward in the main salon are companionway stairs leading down to the galley area (to port) and the head area (to starboard) and forward of the head a large hanging locker.
• One more step forward puts you into the forward sleeping cabin with sleeping accommodations for two people in a vee berth configuration with a filler cushion to transform the berth layout to a generous double berth.
• The forward sleeping cabin features under-berth storage in bins and drawers and additional storage port and starboard in shelving above and outboard of the berthing space and the space is well ventilated by opening hull ports and an overhead opening hatch.
• The entire below-decks areas are heated and cooled by a Marine Air reverse-cycle air conditioning system.

GALLEY:
