S/V CLAIRVOYANT is a nicely kept single cabin version of the very popular Bob Perry designed Tashiba 36. The boat is very spacious and sea worthy.

This boats first owners had her from 1987-2000. From 1987-2017 the boat spent 6+ months a year indoors. The summers were spent weekend sailing on Lake Michigan. Starting in 2017 the owners took her to the keys where they would spend the winters cruising around and eventually trekking several time to the Bahamas. She was always thoughtfully stored on the hard and covered for the summer months during her time in Florida. In 2023 she was brought to the Chesapeake and the owners cruised the Chesapeake for the 2024 season, and again, tucked away for the winter. For 2025 they have decided to sell her. She is currently in the water in Norfolk VA., without sails rigged and "stored" with de-humidifier running etc. Please contact us today for a private showing.

Construction:

The Tashiba 36 hull is made of hand-laminated, one-piece, heavy-duty fiberglass. A series of longitudinal and traverse stringers are used to provide maximum hull support. There is a one-piece internal iron cast ballast, bedded with fiberglass and polyester resin, glassed over to further reinforce the hull section. The Tashiba 36 also includes a hand-laminated FRB house and deck with end gran balsa sandwich construction. Where deck hardware is through-bolted, it is reinforced with encapsulated marine grade plywood using stainless steel backing plates.

Accommodations:

Clairvoyant presents an impressive interior arrangement with sleeping accommodations for up to 5 people. There is a large forward private cabin. The entire interior is satin varnished teak with high quality joinery work that is a trademark of the TaShing Ship Yard and their Yacht building capabilities. There are 13 bronze opening portlights with screens, as well as, the beautiful large butterfly hatch in the middle of the boat. THIS BOAT HAS HAD THE CAST IRON FUEL TANK REPLACED WITH A NEW 60GAL ALUMINUM TANK.
