GYPSY is one of the impressive John Alden designed, clipper-bowed 45' Fuji Ketches, capable of offshore cruising to distant shores. Although built in 1977, GYPSY looks much newer than her years, with many recent improvements. The most significant improvements include a new 74 hp Yanmar, new circuit breaker panels and new electrical work, new Maxwell windlass, new genoa and staysail jib, new chainplate work, new heads and hoses, new refrigerator, new interior salon cushions, new roller furler for the headsail, new inverter, new lifelines, new Dodger frame by Gemini, new rudder bearing and shaft, new prop shaft and cutlass bearing, fiberglass decks strengthened with another layer of glass and painted with non skid Awlcraft. All new sails include mizzen, jib and staysail (main is serviceable, not new). S/S standing rigging has been inspected every year since 2022, and running rigging is mostly new. Varnish has been wooded with new 8-10 coats of Epifanes varnish, renewed yearly. Please call us to inspect this handsome traditional ketch. Thank you for your interest.
