In 1972 Whitcraft houseboats teamed with Hatteras to develop a true cruising houseboat with a modified deep vee hull allowing this vessel to explore beyond the rivers and lakes that were typical roaming areas for these type of vessels. The owner has replaced the engines with freshly rebuilt twin 315 Yanmar diesels with 60 hours of operation.. The generator was also replaced with a used Kohler 7.5 KW with 250 hours. Both tanks were removed and black tar coated and reinstalled. All new engine gauges were installed at the upper and lower helm stations. A new Raymarine Axiom chart plotter and radar were added at both helm stations as well as the new Raymarine autopilot. Also new was the electric controlled spotlight. To keep the cabin comfortable a new 25000 BTU air conditioner/heater joined the three year old 16000 BTU air/heat unit. Before installing the new stainless steel anchor windless, chain and rode the bow pulpit was rebuilt. This truly unique 50 foot cruiser is ready to explore the bays and coastal waterways or maybe the great loop, whatever your boating needs are please take a look at this opportunity to own a classic Whitcraft houseboat.
