Pavel Shaposhnikov Yachts: The company was founded in 1981 as a repair yard for small ships; however, the company was also developing it's own new technology involving carbon-epoxy aluminum sandwich hull construction. This new technology which was dubbed NormanBond, was they key to building extremely light hulls for racing and fast power and sail boats.

The first Pavel Shaposhnikov racing sailboat design built using NormanBond technology was delivered in 1983, has thus-far changed hands six times and is still winning local regattas to this day. Pavel has over 300 different yacht designs to his credit and is currently active in the super luxury yacht market with plans to design and build yachts to 600 feet.

Currently, Pavel Shaposhnikov designs are being constructed at the Norman Yacht Shipyard located in the Ukraine. Depending on the number of orders at any given time, Norman Yacht Shipyard employs anywhere from 30 to 400 dedicated craftsman. The knowledge and talent of these workers combined with the vast nautical experience and engineering background of Mr. Shaposhnikov result in some of the most luxurious, extraordinarily upscale yachts in the world.
