Accommodations
Somerled sleeps up to four with three in two private cabins with head and separate stall shower and the settee can be converted with an insert to accommodate a forth. She offers wonderful accommodations both inside and out. The interior includes enlarged windows for greater visibility, handsome teak crafted valances and moldings, teak and holly soles throughout with blue ultra suede upholstery. The yacht is climate-controlled with reverse-cycle air conditioning and heat, as desired.
Master StateroomLocated forward with centerline berth,, berth is 53"wide by 75" and is lower than the standard configuration, drawer beneath, and lockers above and outboard. Two cedar-lined hanging lockers are aft to port and starboard. Wall-mounted 12V chrome reading lights and speakers at each bunk. Stainless steel opening portholes and a large overhead hatch, all with screens, and provide light in an airy cabin.
HeadFurther aft to port is the owner's head with Corian-topped vanity and sink, Wilcox-Crittendon "Silence Head" freshwater toilet, towel racks, and excellent storage lockers. Opposite to starboard is separate head and shower with teak grate floor. Both compartments have stainless opening ports with screens for light and dorade vents for ventilation.
Guest StateroomAft and to starboard, opposite the galley, with a 6 1/2’ lower berth. The upper bunk has been removed with a custom shelf forward (original upper bunk could be reinstalled). Drawers for storage below the lower bunk, cedar-lined hanging locker forward, and four-drawer bureau aft. A sliding door provides privacy. Stainless steel opening ports and a large overhead hatch, all with screens.
GalleyA U-shaped to port galley at the foot of the stairs to/from the main saloon, opening inboard with an abundance of storage lockers both above and below the Corian countertops. Forward is the double stainless sink. Outboard is the Force 10 three-burner propane cook top and stove. A Sharp microwave convection microwave is located in the aft upper cabinet. Forward port corner is a cavernous top loading storage bin. The outboard aft counter contains a custom top load refrigerator/freezer and additional front loading refrigerator that will accommodates ice cube trays to generate ice. Directly opposite the galley is a locker for a pantry. Stainless opening ports and large overhead hatch, also with screens, provide generous light and ventilation.
Main SaloonThe main saloon can be entered from either the aft cockpit or the starboard side door at the forward helm. On the starboard side is a 7’ settee with insert to create an additional bunk, there is storage beneath, and custom varnished double folding leaf table. Forward of that is the teak helm seat, with a footrest. Opposite to port are two swiveling barrel chairs, with a tambour door entertainment center between. Forward is a nav station with a high-backed bench passenger chair. The floor is finished in varnished teak and holly and has access hatches to the engine room below.
All Saloon upholstery is covered with an attractive blue ultra suede upholstery. There are large tinted sliding windows in the salon with curtains, and screens.
CockpitSole is laid teak over fiberglass with three opening hatches to the lazarette storage area. Built-in steps port & starboard for access to the side decks and a transom door to the teak swim platform. A hot & cold shower is fitted into the transom. This entire area can be covered with a custom removable awning.
FlybridgeAccessed from a ladder on the starboard forward side of the cockpit. The helm is forward to starboard with full instrumentation and nav gear. Two Pompanette swiveling Captain’s helm chairs for driver and passenger and a bench seat aft with storage beneath. A bimini top with front and partial side enclosure covers the flybridge. The mast is hinged for lower bridge clearance.
ConstructionHull is Light Gray Custom Gelcoat with Gold Cove and Claret Red Boot stripe. Molded laminated fiberglass deep V hull Divinycell foam core above the waterline. Molded fiberglass balsa cored painted non-skid deck. Fiberglass flybridge. Teak laid over fiberglass cockpit. Satin varnished teak interior and cabinetwork with solid teak & holly sole. Stainless bow platform with integral anchor roller with 2 extra stanchions forward.

2008:
Replaced fuel feed lines on both engines. Replaced fuel lines between secondary filters and engine. Replaced raw water hose on port engine. Removed, cleaned, tested and re-installed alternator. Removed, unwrapped, repaired, insulated and replaced port exhaust riser.
Installed new 100A battery charger to improve speed of charge while dockside. Replaced 0-60A meter at helm with a 0-100A meter to be consistent. Upgraded wire size to handle additional current. Installed battery mate to split the 100A output between three banks with zero voltage loss.
Remove port side midship berth bunk. Install shelf at forward end and integrate with hanging locker top. Fabricate and install new fiddle. Trim out back of shelf to hide old holes. Install cleats on main salon bunk to set bunk extension on. Make bunk extension with fold down support leg.
Removed the forward scoops on the engine and AC raw water intakes. Cleaned and replaced scoops. Starboard side driveline --> (1.) Removed propeller to inspect cutlass bearing; (2.) found worn cutlass bearing- removed and replaced; (3.) re-aligned and coupled engine; (4.) installed spurs and propeller.
2009:
Install Garmin GPS Chart Plotter.
Removed, installed, insulated and ran exhaust riser for starboard engine.
2010:
Replaced HVAC hoses under forward berth. Replaced seal on port hatch over galley.
Upgrade all bilge pump switches to ultra junior switches. Replaced fuel tank level sight hose. Removed, tested and reinstalled injectors on starboard engine. Replace port engine scoop.
2011:
Replace fresh water pump and accumulater system (Groco Paragon JR. Water Pressure System 12V). Install Shower Sump Pump. Replace Hot Water Heater (Seaward S1200 SS Water Heater 11ga 120V).
2012:
Replace Thru Hull Ball Value.
Replace Cable Master Switch.
Install Garmin AIS (Garmin AIS600). Replace Stereo (Fusion AM/FM/CD Stereo w/IPOD Sirius).
2013:
Replace Deck Washdown Faucet. Reinforce Dinghy Davits. Replace Engine Room Lights with LED.
2014:
Replaced refrigeration thermostat.
Refurbish Teak Deck. Replace Door Hinges. Remove/Rebed 6 Portlights.
2015:
Replace 5 AGM Batteries (4 8D, 1 8A24). Replace TV Antenna & Amplifier.
Change Engine Heat Exchanger Gaskets & Hoses.
Service Oil Coolers, Aftercoolers & Heat Exchangers on both engines.
Install Dripless Duramax Stuffing Box rebuild kits.
Replace Cutlass Bearings. Replace Keys on Couplings. Replace Shaft Nuts. Rebuild Drive Savers.
Install New Garmin Open Array Radar (GMR424xHD). Make new Radar Bracket for new Radar. Install New Garmin GPSMAP 7608 MFD. Install New Transducer. Install new Garmin GNX20 Instrument. Install New Garmin GPSMAP 7612 Plotter at Lower Helm. Replace Windshield Washer Solenoid.
Fresh Water Tank Sender replaced (Centroid Water Tank Sender CGWP-10.0-12v).
Replace LED Display on Computank (Fuel Tank Monitor).
New Sun Awning with Awning Pole.
2016:
Replace Port & Stbd Engine Mufflers & Hoses, Recondition Exhaust Risers.
Remove old hose from strainer to engine pump, cut new to length & install, reinstall chafe guard on both engines.
Replace Sound Shield on Generator.
Replace 2 Engine Room Lights.
New Hi Temp Marine Exhaust Blankets for Exhaust Risers.
Replace Float Switch for Shower Sump Box.
Replace a 6th AGM Battery (not replaced in 2015).
Replace Carbon Monoxide Detector.
Replace Glendinning Smart Actuator System on both engines.
