The Rosborough 246 Cruiser has been especially designed to be fully trailerable and this model was delivered with the most efficient and durable power configuration available.

The design offer great stability, seaworthiness, comfort, and safety in a spacious, accommodating layout. Configured with the rare and highly sought after 150 hp diesel inboard, the boat is perfect for economical pleasure cruising, fishing, diving, search and rescue and other commercial uses.

Accommodations & Domestic

Bye Bye Budget is an extraordinarily clean boat, seemingly in flawless condition. The upholstery shows virtually no wear.

Key� creature-comfort features include:

• A bright interior design with large safety windows all around.
• She sleeps four: two in the forward private V-berth (with filler wedge) and two on the starboard convertible dinette salon table.
• There is a center triangle filler for the forward berth
• Galley is located to port and includes a two burner propane stove, refrigerator, large stainless steel galley sink, multiple storage drawers and large prep counter space.
• Equipped with both Air Conditioning and a heating system. Note: the owners have never used the Air Con. With their very limited use of the boat, they never considered it a priority. Although there is not currently a belt connecting the air conditioning compressor to the engine drive flywheel, it is presumed (but not guaranteed) that it should work.
• Five gallon hot water tank and cockpit shower.
• Screened opening center window and two large sliding windows with screens.
• Two 13ââ?¬ï¿½ screened roof hatches.
• Helm seating to starboard with forward-facing first mate seating on the port side, with footrests.

Construction

One piece hand-layed solid construction fiberglass with integral gunwale flange and floor/furniture liner. Deck and floors are sandwich core constructed with molded non-skid surfaces.

The hull design and center-line keel provides stability while the straight flat run aft ensures a good turn of speed. Owners have the highest praise for this boat in all weather conditions.

Other features include:

• The full bow sections and shallow forefoot allow for both soft entry and comfortable ride while heading into or running with the seas
• Interior trim is finished with teak molding
• Deck hardware and rails, etc. are all bright stainless steel
• Windows are tempered safety glass in molded fiberglass frames with opening, aluminum framed windows
• Below waterline the through-hulls are bronze / s.s. ball valves.
• Power hull extension with 3 step boarding ladder
• Fitted with rubber guard rails
• 100% positive flotation.

Propulsion & Mechanical Systems

'Bye Bye Budget' is powered by a 2.4 L, in-line four cylinder, 4 stroke, fresh-water cooled, 150 hp diesel Volvo engine, paired to a Volvo outdrive. Most of the Rosborough 246s built have been fitted with gas outboards, but this unit received the very expensive and durable upgraded diesel propulsion for many years of economical and trouble-free operation. With a top speed of 24 kts, and amazing fuel economy, it's arguably the ideal cruiser for the great loop, or island hopping through the Keys and Bahamas.

The engine has only about 250 original hours on it and has been maintained in excellent operating condition. Indeed, it looks new.

The boat is equipped with a SideShift stern thruster for easy maneuvering in tight marinas.

Also included are a Raymarine Autopilot system and upgraded electronic throttle controls.
