This Award Winning Douglas Marine Skater 46 with all remade rigging, engines, and drives (2010) is a testament to the art and science of high performance watercraft. With 2300 Total Horsepower and only three (3) hours on the new engines and drives, she comes ready to go! You and three very lucky folks get to drop down through the authentic F-16 Fighter Jet Canopies, strap in to the ergonomic and tactical command loungers, and set the standard as prime movers. Propulsion

The custom Joey Griffin engines, Cobra #6 drives, and Crashbox tranny's have just been carefully tuned, mated and installed. The successful test phase put three hours of operation on the assembly. You and your co-pilot can coordinate the dual steering stations as you chat through the four person intercom system.

The carbon fiber reinforced Kevlar hull is designed for heavy and high stress competitive use, as are the integral fuel tanks.

With Test Cleaver Style 5 blade from Cobra Power propellers were used during the test phase, speeds at and around 150+MPH were recorded.

For our international buyers, the refrigerant in the Air Conditioning compressor mounted on the port side engine is R-134a. You'll be comfy and cool underway! You can run this boat with Canopie hatches off for fun in the sun!

Hull Design and Configuration

Hull and superstructure construction, as well as being super-sexy, creates an airfoil underway at speeds over 100 MPH. (see "Airfoil" at Wikipedia). At speeds over 80 MPH, the venturi effect begins, with the lifting hull airfoil feature beginning soon thereafter. This progressive enhancement of dynamic lift makes for a more comfortable, efficient, and seaworthy ride for you and your passengers.

Dynamic lift is created to spirit you and all non-thrust components out of the chop and toward your destination. This acts to minimize frictional forces, giving a more comfortable ride to you and your passengers while keeping only the parts needed to GO in the water. You are in complete control with throttle manipulation, trim tabs, and the hydraulic aluminum 23" X 61" tunnel flap at the transom. Adjust for speed and conditions to maximixe the ventilation effect of the four hull steps - two high and two low - port and starboard. Actual hand measured dimensions are a 48', 9" LOA and an 11', 10" Beam Width.

This carbon fiber reinforced Kevlar (tm) hull has remained virtually unused for most of it's service life. It was originally sold unrigged, with the first completion taking place in 1999. The present meticulous and caring owner took ownership in 2000, going on to claim three SBI Sanctioned Championships. She was given a complete rebuild to even higher competitive standards in 2009-2011, and has been sleeping ever since.
