Accommodations
This Valiant 42 Center Entry Pullman is solidly built for blue-water cruising, with more and heavier layers of fiberglass in the hull and deck, overbuilt bulkheads and floorboards, cherry interior, a cockpit that is comfortable but cradles you in a seaway, and full electronics for safety and ease of navigation.
Cutter rigged, with the mast set farther aft and one inner forestay for the staysails to keep the center of effort amidships, this boat is a true performance cruiser. Rod-rigging and stiff hull form make this boat responsive, fast and forgiving. The modified fin keel with cut-away forefoot and skeg-hung rudder make this underbody super strong and adds to the tracking ability of the vessel.
A true blue-water U-shaped galley has all the features you'd expect: gimbaled stove; double sink, freezer-fridge, and ample storage including a large pantry with deep slide-out trays.
The vessel also features a quarter berth for two people and a pullman berth for two people. A salon settee converts to a mid-ship sea berth with lee cloth.
A forepeak is used for general storage as well as for deploying and dousing the asymmetric spinnaker.
Custom-built storage in the engine room is in 4 large containers which are easily removed for ample access to the engine and genset. Additional custom storage has been created throughout the vessel by the previous owners.
