Hull & Deck
Construction is handlayed fiberglass, well reinforced with glassed in frames and stringers – typical of boats built in this era. The deck is balsa cored to save weight and is vacuum bagged to ensure a good lamination. Unlike many of her sisterships, she does not have teak decks, greatly reducing the likelyhood of water intrusion. Her bimini top is an industrial grade material with extreme UV characteristics to ensure years of maintenance free use.

Accommodations“Redjack's” interior is beautifully finished in teak with louvered cupboardfronts throughout. All upholstery was replaced in 2006.
Starting forward, there is a large head shower with good ventilation, hot and cold shower and basin, mirror, and manual toilet. Ample storage has been designed in. Next aft is the guest cabin with a wide double berth to port. The berth is elevated slightly creating an enormous amount of storage space underneath. Several cupboard doors provide access to this generous locker space. Opposite are bureau drawers and a hanging locker. Ventilation is provided by several overhead opening hatches.
Aft of the main bulkhead is the salon to port and navigator’s desk to starboard. The salon area is U-shaped with comfortable seating for 6. A large custom bookshelf is on the forward bulkhead and a TV cupboard (no TV) is located aft to port for easy viewing while seated. There is a forward facing nav desk to starboard with all navigation data displayed via a variety of instruments. The radios are located along a starboard shelf/console, along with stereo, and books. Overhead hatches and opening side ports provide good ventilation.
The passage galley is next aft on the starboard side and is larger than the Taswell layout with the passage to port. First, there is a large worktop outboard, then a new Force 10 (2009) three burner stove with oven and broiler. The stove is supplied via 2 new fiberglass propane tanks (2009) stored in a remote aft deck locker. Next aft are the fridge and freezer boxes with new Grunnert refrigeration and controls (2010). The fridge also has a front opening door. A microwave is built into a shelf at the aft end of the galley space. Inboard, there is a large, deep, double sink with hot & cold water and a manual hand pump as well. Generous storage has been built into the galley area for cutlery, pots & pans, stores, and tableware.
Aft of the sinks is an access door to the engine/generator space. A fuel manifold, filters, and seawater strainers are located here for easy service. Watermaker functions are also located here. The electric breaker panel is next aft with readouts for AC amps and volts, and DC amps and volts. The panel is protected by a hinged Plexiglas door.
The master cabin is furthest aft, with a large centerline berth that has a new mattress (2005). There is a large cupboard unit at the forward end of this space, and hanging lockers flank the berth to port and starboard. There is also considerable storage under the berth, where the steering gear is located. Just forward to port is an ensuite head with a large shower stall forward and marine toilet and sink just aft.
