Accommodations
The saloon is has a long portside settee that extends to form a double berth. A U-shaped dinette, to starboard, wraps around a lovely teak dining table. Storage is abundant, in the form of lockers, shelving, and cubbies. A guest cabin is forward, and features a V-berth w/filler, vanity, and plenty of storage. The second guest cabin has over/under berths and storage, including a tall hanging locker. These cabins share the forward head compartment that includes a separate shower stall. The aft cabin is totally private, and has an island queen berth, seating area, and storage for long voyages. An ensuite head compartment with shower completes the "Captains Stateroom". The passageway from the aft cabin to the main living area offers generous access to the engine room and generator. This area also contains a Combo-Matic 2000 washer/dryer combination, as well as the navigation station and several storage lockers.

GalleyThe galley is located to port, at the base of the companionway ladder. It was designed with maximum efficiency & safety in mind and features plenty of places for the cook to brace while at sea. Sinks are located near the centerline for good drainage, and loads of storage and counterspace are provided.

Deck & HullSolid fiberglass hull construction with fiberglass sandwich deck. All bulkheads are glassed both to the hull and to the deck for added strength. Extra tall double lifelines installed with higher grade 316 stainless steel stanchions. There is a split chain locker with shelf, and a custom double roller S/S stem head fitting. A deck hatch just aft of the windlass accesses more deck storage.

CommentsThis Bristol 51.1 was built for an experienced Bristol 45.5 sailor who was ready to move up. The keel was modified to reduce the draft to 5' (board up) and the mast was shortened a bit to permit traveling on the ICW. All port lights are custom and all have screens.
