Additional Salesperson's Remarks
This is the cruising version of the original MacGregor models. The hull, deck, interior, mast section, rudder, chain plates and basic construction are the same as the racing version which has been well proven in thousands of miles of successful racing and cruising. The basic structure is designed for the enormous loads imposed by the racing version's large sail plan and is significantly overbuilt for the loads imposed by the smaller cruising rig. The high performance of this yacht is a result of its long waterline and narrow, easily-driven hull. It does not depend on large sail plans for high speed sailing. The long waterline also provides an extremely stable, comfortable motion at sea and at anchor, with far less pitching than on the typical cruising yacht. The systems in this boat have been designed to be functional and have been proven during Mexico and coastal cruises. This boat is easily handled by a crew of two. Recently returned from Mexico, she is ready to go again.
