Accommodations
With two spacious private staterooms and two heads with showers, the Bristol 47.7 offers superb ammenities for two couples for an extensive cruise and can provide additional comfortable accommodations for more for shorter durations. VICTORIA E. features the preferred full varnished teak interior with varnished teak and holly sole. (The entire interior was revarnished in 1997.) It is obvious that the builder provided more than the normal attention to matching grains in the wood as the panels in the teak cabinetry are particularly even in color and depth of grain. As a serious cruising vessel the 47.7 was designed with superb natural light and ventilation with six large opening ports, ten smaller opening ports, two large hatches and 2 smaller hatches, as well as 4 polished stainless steel dorades. All opening ports and hatches are fitted with screens. 2 reverse cycle air conditioning units (total 28,000 BTUs) provide plenty of heating or cooling as the climate dictates. Generous lighting throughout with swivel style reading lamps in way of all berths and settees along with several dome type overhead lamps.
Starting forward is the private Forward Stateroom featuring a large V-berth with filler. Below the berth there is storage in three lockers and some bin type stowage while above the berth the hull is lined with varnished teak ceilings and full length under deck lockers. Access to the chain locker is at the fwd. bulkhead. Aft of the port V there is a 4 drawer bureau with an additional locker outboard while opposite to starboard is a hanging locker. Private access to the forward head is to port. The Forward Head is features a manual W.C currently plumbed to a Lectrasan unit but this will be replaced and a 20 gallon holding tanks installed along with Y valve and appropriate pump out arrangements this fall, ensuite shower, vanity with Porcelin sink with pressure H&C water and manual fresh water and generous storage.
Continuing aft is the Main Salon featuring an L settee to port which makes out to a double berth while to starboard are two barrel chairs. A rack set up to take a "pipe berth style" sea beth can be set up above the barrel chairs. Storage is voluminous; forward of the barrel chairs is a counter top with locker with shelves below and another locker outboard. There are deep lockers behind the chairs and a second row of lockers above with book shelves in between, an arrangement that is mirrored to port while below the settee there is still more storage in drop face lockers. Aft of the L-settee is a cabinet with top loading freezer box, outboard of which is a bar cabinet. Dining is from a drop leaf varnished teak table.
Aft of the Salon and to starboard, convenient to the companionway and Salon, is the U shaped Galley featuring generous formica counter spaces with tile back splashes, deep double basin stainless steel sink with pressure H&C water and manual fresh water pumps, top and front load well insulated refrigeration box fitted with Grunert holding plates. Cooking is on a three burner Shipmate stainless steel propane gimballed stove with oven. A microwave above the stove provides for convenient re-warming of food items. Storage is abundant in several lockers and drawers as well as racks for spices and cups.
Aft of the Salon and to port is the walk thru to the private aft cabin. Access to the machinery compartment and electrical panels is inboard while outboard is an extensive Navigator's Station with full vessel electronics, stowage for navigation pubs and manuals, flip top chart table, below which there is a set of drawers and navigator's seat. Aft of the Nav. Station is a generous wet locker.
The Master Stateroom, is next aft and features a true full sized queen berth. There is voluminous storage to P&S with 4 lockers with shelves and 5 large drawers to port along with 3 drop face lockers and a generous cedar lined hanging locker while to starboard there are 2 large drawers, 3 lockers with shelves and 2 drop face lockers. Also to port is a TV cabinet with a 13" color TV and VCR. Just off the stateroom to starboard is a large Master Head featuring a separate stall shower with seat, electric W.C plumbed to a Lectrasan unit.
The interior of VICTORIA E. is superb throughout and shows like a yacht several years newer.
