Accommodations
INTERIOR LAYOUT:
Forward: Large v-berth, which accommodates two, features a large queen berth, teak woodwork, storage shelves on the sides. A hanging locker currently used as a pantry is on the starboard side. A louvered door, as well as an opening hatch, provides ventilation, light, and egress as needed. There are two side ports. The forward air conditioning unit (1600 Btu) services the forward cabin and the main salon when dockside.
Just of the forward cabin in the main salon is an enclosed head/Shower to port and a hanging locker to starboard. Formica counters and bulkheads are enhanced with teak trim. The stainless wash basin has hot and cold running water. A large teak trimmed mirror in located in the forward head. The toilet is a Raritan electric but can be converted manual operation if necessary. The head is served with an 18 gal. holding tank. A shower sump pump in floor and a pullout faucet functions as a shower. Head features a ventilating hatch above with a Nicro electric solar fan and a side opening port, to port.
The light and airy main Salon features a wraparound settee and large teak dining table with a partial drop leaf. The seat cushions and backs are contoured and upholstered with fabric. Additional storage is found in lockers behind the cushions. The navigation station, which faces port on the Port side, features a teak hinged chart table and an instrument console, repeater display from cockpit and breaker panel. The navigation station also features a Standard Horizon vhf, Faruno mast mounted radar and Icom SSBA. A brass lamp is mounted on the teak forward bulkhead. The main salon is ventilated with two opening hatches and electric fans. The main salon is serviced by the forward air-conditioning unit when dockside.
The passage way aft is the large galley. The galley has a double sink, hot and cold running water; pull out spray faucet and manual foot pump. There is ample counter and cabinet space, the engine box across from the galley also serves as a large galley counter. A large ice box is also fitted with a “Sea Frost” refrigerator/freezer water/air cooled unit. Ventilation in the galley is provided by three opening ports, an electric fan and the aft air conditioner when in port.
Aft is a large master cabin, with a queen berth. A hanging closet and chest of draws is to port and closet with shelves is to starboard. A full mirror is located on the forward bulkhead. Ventilation is provided by two opening ports and a large deck hatch for egress. To port is a private aft head/shower. Formica counters and bulkheads are enhanced with teak trim. The stainless wash basin has hot and cold running water. A large teak trimmed mirror in located in the forward head. The toilet is a Raritan full size electric macerator served with a 21 gal holding tank. A shower sump pump in floor and a pullout faucet functions as a shower. The 5000 btu air conditioning unit located in the aft cabin serves that cabin and the galley area. An opening port also provides ventilation to the head.
Electronical and NavigationELECTRONICE AND NAVIGATION EQUIPMENT:
Raymarine instrumentation is featured at the helm in an Edson console. A Raymarine depth, speed, water temp, wind monitoring instrument.
The radar can be moved to the cockpit for use under way. A removable Garmin GPS/chart plotter is mounted on the binnacle.
A Standard Horizon VHF/Intercom/Load Hailer (mast mounted speaker) is located in the navigation station with a remote microphone mounted in the port cockpit wall next to the binnacle.
A new compact disk player, AM/FM radio is located in the navigation station with speakers in the cockpit and the main salon provides news, weather, and entertainment and is coupled to a XM/Sirrus mount for a receiver to be added by purchaser a very nominal cost.
A Richie compass is mounted at the helm. Engine instrumentation is mounted to Starboard.
An 800 watt inverter is located under the navigation desk.
ElectronicsELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT:
The shore powered two circuit 30 amp 110V AC system supports numerous outlets throughout the vessel and powers the two air conditioning units. The outlets in the galley and the heads have ground fault protection. From the two 30 amp inlets on the port side outside of the cockpit, the line is connected to an onboard isolator system to reduce galvanic currents that cause underwater metal parts to corrode, such as zinks and bronze propellers. From there, the current goes to breakers in the electrical panel box and on to the various electrical components.
The 12V system is powered by a four group 31 batteries that can be selected to be a single bank of all four or split into two, two batter bank for starting and house. This arrangement has proven reliable and ample for extended cursing. A group 27 battery serves the electric windlass. The engine alternator charges all batteries.
The third battery bank, which is located under the V berth, provides power to the anchor windlass,
Deck and HullDECK AND HULL:
- The hull and deck is white in color. The boot stripe is dark green, The cove stripe is green.
- There are double 35” offshore lifelines with boarding gates aft port and starboard.
- The sprit platform has double bronze anchor rollers.
- A Windlass at the bow.
- A Danforth 45 plow working anchor is attached to a 30’ high strength chain rode and 200 feet three strand nylon line.
- There is a large Fortress Danforth style anchor and 30” of high strength chain rode attached to nylon three strand line stored in the anchor locker forward.
- There are two additional Fortress Danforth anchors with the boat, with nylon line. An additional anchor line with chain is stored under the aft cabin berth.
- Six strong and properly sized cleats are placed appropriately for docking.
- A Blue Sunbrella dodger with stainless supports and Bimini covers the entire cockpit for protection from the sun.
- Destroyer type stainless wheel.
- Green Sunbrella cockpit cushions and Blue folding cockpit seats provide seating comfort.
- A fold out Edison varnished cockpit table is attached to the binnacle.
- Teak flag mast with yacht ensign attached.
- White Lifesling Type V attached to stern rail.
- Outboard motor mount attached to stern rail.
- Magnum stainless steel kettle grill attached to stern rail.
- Davits attached to the quarter deck support a Caribe 10 foot RIB.
- A 5 hp Nissan engine is included.
- PFD’s (life jackets) are stored in an appropriate bag and in the salon lockers.
- Five appropriately sized vinyl fenders.
- A folding stainless boarding ladder with comfortable teak steps is attached to the stern.
- Emergency tiller.
- Eleven opening ports with screens.
Auxiliary PropulsionAUXILIARY PROPULSION:
- Yanmar JHE four cylinder, 44 HP diesel engine. It is fresh water (antifreeze) cooled through a heat exchanger. It has clocked approximately 800 hours since a total rebuild approximately 6 years ago. An auxiliary starter button has been installed near the engine to assist in servicing.
- Packless shaft sealing system that is essentially dripless.
- Three-blade Max Prop propeller that is serviced annually provides excellent powering but becomes virtually invisible under sail.
Sails & RiggingSAILS AND RIGGING:
- Mast and boom are aluminum U.S. oversized stainless steel rigging.
- Two Lewmar 52 chrome-plated bronze winches.
- Schafer furling system.
- 135 Doyle furling with a white sacrificial cover is sewn on the leech. A sail bag is included is approximately 3 seasons old.
- The Doyle StackPack main sail with integrated cover and lazy jacks system is fully battened and loose footed for performance and has two sets of reef points served by a slap reefing system.
- There is inner chain plate on deck for a staysail.
- The staysail is fixed with a wire luff so no inner forestay clutters the foredeck.
- A asymmetric cruising spinnaker together with a Chute scoop that requires no pole is included in the inventory.
- A storm trysail fills out the inventory.
- Main sheet track (with roller bearing car). Genoa sheet tracks, and genoa tracks with blocks are firmly attached to the decks.
