Accommodations
The interior finish of "Avalon" is rich and warm and is done in the traditional hand rubbed, oiled, teak. The forward cabin is a 6'-6" long v-berth with two cedar lined hanging lockers, bureau and dressing seat. The fully enclosed head is located to port and has access from both the v-berth and salon. Opposite the head is a large, cedar lined hanging locker. The main salon has a U-shaped settee to port that converts to a double berth and a single settee to starboard. There is a centerline mounted, double leaf dinette table that can be lowered. There are various open bookshelves and cane faced lockers, which provide excellent stowage in the salon. Aft of the salon and to starboard is a private aft cabin with a 6'-6" x 58" berth, cedar lined hanging locker, bureau w/drawers, dressing seat and a hidden manual marine toilet. The aft cabin has a 110-volt AC/Heater (installed but has not been operated for years, may need servicing or replacement). The main salon has a diesel, bulkhead mounted, cabin heater. Opposite the aft cabin to port is the large J-shaped galley. Aft of the galley is a proper, sea kindly, nav station with full sized chart table and excellent accommodations for navigation equipment. The hinged companionway stairs provide excellent engine access.
