Additional InformationThis beautiful, classic Burger 72 is currently a gourmet dinner charter vessel in Morro Bay, where she is used for parties, weddings and a variety of events in the area. The owner is looking for a larger yacht, and as described below, the successful charter busines with a Morro Bay slip and an active book of business may also be purchased with the boat. And, in April 2011 the yacht completed its bi-annual Coast Guard inspection, out of the water at Ventura Harbor Boatyard, and it came through the inspection with flying colors!
THE CHARTER BUSINESS
The “Papagallo II” was well known in the Bay Area for many years as a part of the Hornblower Dining Yachts fleet, and it has enjoyed great success since it was relocated to Morro Bay by the current owner (the yacht has grossed over $700,000.00 since moving to Morro Bay in late 2005). The yacht is inspected and certified by the US Coast Guard to carry up to 65 paying passengers plus 3 crew. And, the Coast Guard inspection is current through October 2015. The yacht is exempt from annual property tax assessments under California law if the owner continues to use it as a commercial passenger vessel. The entire business is available for purchase with the yacht for an additional fee, including client base, website, dock lease and phone numbers.
ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITY: Papagallo II is also available for fractional ownership through the purchase of shares in the business. This ownership structure may provide unique tax advantages for business entertainment that would not otherwise be available for a yacht. Contact David Weil for more information.

It is equipped with a 4-burner electric stove/oven, large microwave oven, dishwasher, garbage disposal, dual stainless sinks, a large icemaker, and side-by-side refrigerator / freezer. Countertops are granite, the deck in the galley is stone tile, and the cabinets are painted with varnished trim.
- Walking aft into the salon, a large bar area is immediately to port. It is well equipped to service paying passengers and guests alike, and the bar itself has a beautiful custom copper surface.
- Further aft, the carpeted salon is open and roomy, with a custom teak inlaid dance floor in the design of a compass rose. Like many Burgers of this era, the salon windows include a unique roll down feature.
- The stairway to the master and guest staterooms is located at the aft end of the salon. The entry to the stairwell is surrounded by a brass rail with a decorative ship's engine room telegraph mounted on the rail.
FOREDECK- The foredeck, side decks, and aft decks are teak and are well maintained. The foredeck is used for entertaining passengers and guests, and pursuant to Coast Guard inspection requirements the area is surrounded forward and on both sides by removable lifelines.
BRIDGE- The bridge is forward of the galley, accessed from the side decks via separate port and starboard doors, as well as a door from the galley.
AFT DECK- The fully enclosed and spacious aft deck covers the full beam of the boat, and is perfect for entertaining. The space includes a small bar with a sink and new granite countertop. Unique glass-topped cocktail tables are designed in the shape of martini glasses. The tables are securely fastened to the deck for safety but may be easily removed when not in use.
OWNER AND GUEST STATEROOMS- Owner and guest staterooms are below and aft, accessed from the salon via a circular stairway that is surrounded by copper plate. The master is aft with queen-sized bed, plenty of storage closets, and a very large ensuite head with shower and a large jacuzzi tub. The guest stateroom is forward of the master and to port, with twin beds. A large head is located between the two staterooms near the base of the stairway.
CREW QUARTERS- Crew quarters are below and forward, accessed via a stairway from the bridge. The accommodations include separate staterooms for captain and crew, a crew's dining area, and a head. Since this is a working dinner yacht, the crew quarters are currently being used as a pantry and dry storage for the restaurant operation, but the space may be converted back to staterooms in a matter of minutes.
