You will simply not find a nicer, cleaner, more updated convertible like this 73 Donzi. The owner of this boat has had over 25 sport fishing boats and truly enjoys making each one a showpiece and Badonkadonk is no exception. The list of updated items is extensive and this listing should give an excellent idea of what you will see when you inspect this yacht. Many of the upgrades and improvements were all done in the last six to eight months. The exterior was painted in NC with Awlgrip snow white, both hull and topsides from the waterline up. The owner then painted the hull in Fighting Lady Yellow in May 2010 and also had all the varnish work completely done. The bottom was soda blasted (10/08) down to the gel coat, the entire bottom was faired to perfection and two coats of Interlux 2000 epoxy primer was sprayed, not rolled. New bottom paint was also then applied by a sprayer, not rolled making for a perfect bottom. This owner had a new Bausch hardtop made, new EZ2CY enclosure, new stereo system for the bridge and for the interior, new LED lighting on the bridge, new hydraulic outriggers, new electronics, new teak cockpit, new teak covering boards, and a new teak transom. Thats the outside. Lets go inside: Built on a 19'6" beam, the salon on this 73 Donzi is pretty good size her large wraparound U shaped sofa meets the curved dinette that adjoins the open galley with an island bar and three bars tools. The entertainment center sits along the port side with large 42 Sony flat screen and has the Niles automated stereo system and the touchpad automated lighting system throughout the entire boat. Many upgrades in the salon such as new cherry valances with improved a/c air flow through air boxes, custom rod cabinet in companionway, new granite in salon with matching backsplash, granite in all staterooms and heads, new soft goods with stylish fabrics and calm colors. The layout is four stateroom and four heads, including crew. Leaving the salon and down fours stairs is the long companionway. The companionway has access to all four staterooms and has a custom rod locker. The master is about amidship with a king size bed, overhead air plume and custom built in desk with its own matching Bluewater chair. The master has a good sized head and shower, nicely decorated. The VIP is all the way forward, queen bed and en-suite head. The guest stateroom sits to port like master and has over/under bunks and an en-suite head as well. The crew quarters are down the companionway immediately to port. There are two over and under bunks in this stateroom as well and accesses to the pump room and engine room. The crew quarters also has an en-suite head. Now the machinery the engine room access is both from the cockpit and from the crews quarters. One look inside this engine tells the story that these engines are well cared for and well maintained. The engine room is Awlgrip Snow white and is extremely bright and well lit. The engines glisten with all white paint, stainless valve covers, stainless exhaust and other stainless covers. The engines have been meticulously maintained, turbos have been blueprinted, has a fuel polishing system and sea strainers. The cockpit has the popular mezzanine, all new teak deck and coverings boards, a Bluewater chair, a Gaggenau BBQ grill and 600lb ice bin for the Eskimo machine. The fly bridge seems to be as massive as the cockpit brand new Bausch hardtop, full walkaround helm flanked by three new teak Bluewater chairs, new overhead tri-color lights, new speakers, all new electronics, and new Release Marine single lever controls with bow thruster controls at the tips.
