VESSEL WALKTHROUGH
OVERVIEW: Sleeps 7 owners and guests in 3 staterooms including 3 heads.
The flybridge has a 3-sided enclosure with track-to-track upgraded Strataglass soft enclosures and Viking molded hardtop with 6 launcher aft and access hatch located over the companion helm chair. There are two captainââ¬â¢s Stidd chairs at the helm, and two large seating areas; one to starboard, and one fore of the helm station to accommodate guests on the bridge. Under the seating is plenty of available storage area for rods and gear. One of the best features of this boat is the additional refrigeration and huge freezer, which is located between the helm and forward seating area. Provisioning for traveling is made easy with this out-of-the-way cold storage area, and the refrigeration side of this console allows quick access to cold beverages. There is a fresh water spigot for the bridge located in the forward cabinet.
The athwartship ladder down to the cockpit is located to the starboard side of the flybridge aft. The cockpit features the huge Viking trademark working area for fishing or entertaining a small crowd. There is a full tackle station with drawer stowage, cockpit bait board, deep well freezer, center engine room access, refrigerated drink box under the salon entrance step, and starboard storage locker. All of these cabinets feature flush doors, which are designed and finished to be free from any sharp contours, and all surfaces are easy to clean and maintain. The cockpit also features a teak sole with drain gutters, a devoted starboard well for the ice produced by the chipper, a transom live well, a live well in the port sole, and a center fish box. On both sides of the cockpit is are lockers; the port containing access to a 50 amp Glendinning shore cord, TV and Cable hook-up, and gaff storage. The starboard locker contains similar access to a second Glendinning shore cord, and gaff/boat hook storage. There is also a fresh water outlet aft by the transom door with flip-up gate.
The engine room allows for ease of access around the power plants, and all surfaces are white Awlgrip painted for easy cleaning and sterile appearance. This engine room houses the twin generators, the compressors for all air conditioning and refrigeration, as well as power stabilizing equipment. The pump room is all the way forward in the engine room.
Moving forward around the 36ââ¬â¢ Rupp outriggers are high mounted, powder-coated, grab rails. These are located over the frameless windows on each side of the house for assurance, but the wide walk-around access to the forward deck allows easy negotiation. Full bow rails forward skirt the massive foredeck, which is capable of easily carrying a davit and tender if installed. The life raft is mounted on the foredeck in front of the wind screen. The forward section of the bow features a pulpit and windlass with 25ââ¬â¢ of chain and 300ââ¬â¢ of rode. The anchor locker houses a second/spare Danforth anchor and fresh water washdown.
The entrance to the cabin is to the starboard side in the cockpit. Upon entry to this vessel, one will immediately notice Viking Yachtââ¬â¢s attention to interior detail. Teak flat-paneled doors are tightly fitted and finished in a high-gloss polymer clear coat. The finish is consistent throughout, as is the wood grain as the result of a unique process where every teak panel is a cross-section of hundreds of boards bonded together. This not only keeps the texture of the grain consistent, but also eliminates the possibility of any warp, or color variance. All working counter surfaces have been upgraded to Magna Sahara Corian tops, and salon entrance and galley floor feature Amtico Teak and Holly sole. Heads also have Amtico Teak and Holly soles. Heavy carpeting covers the remainder of sole surfaces and there are custom tan runners protecting the carpet traffic areas throughout. The interior of this beautiful 61 was upgraded with Vikingââ¬â¢s Premier Indigo Sunrise Décor package, adding better fabrics and appointments throughout the vessel.
Layout features the electrical power panel at cabin entrance to starboard with entertainment console. Adjacent is a large L-shaped settee and Teak table. The low-profile galley is up, and is located to port forward. The Dinette is to starboard. There is a large flat screen television incased over the Dinette forward.
Immediately down the staircase to starboard is the stacked washer/dryer. Fore of the laundry station is the entrance to the starboard day head. This day head features a walk-through into the crew stateroom. The crew stateroom features an over-under bunk arrangement in with a hanging locker and access door to the companionway.
The large Master Stateroom is located forward a few steps to port with its own ensuite head, full cedar lined hanging locker, built-in computer work station and equipment shelves, and abundant drawer and under-berth stowage. The Master also features a flat panel TV up and at the foot of the queen island berth, which is athwartship. The companionway has a laundry center with over-under washer and dryer units.
Moving forward through the companionway is the VIP Guest Stateroom located in the vee. The stateroom features a double and single bunk, ample drawer storage, a large hanging locker, two cabinets for assorted storage, and a sizable ensuite head with full shower and lighted vanity. There is also a flat panel TV in this room interfaced with Salon satellite receiver.
