Additional Information
1959 GLASSPAR SEAFAIR SEDAN---ORIGINAL JOHNSON 35Hp ELECTRIC START This boat was completely rebuilt which included removing the cabin, reglassing the spars, the bow and then rebuilding the ï¬âoor. The engines were disassembled, sandblasted, painted with LP and rebuilt. The trailer was custom built by FE trailers. It was designed to t in a one car garage and has many custom features. Most important is the break away tongue, dual axel, quad disc brakes, piggy back receiver to attach second trailer and it's galvanized! All the rubber moldings, glass, stainless window tracks, wireing, screws and fasteners (all screws are stainless oval head) were replaced. Most of the metal parts have been powder coated and the surfaces inside have been sprayed with a bed liner (Line Ex The outside surfaces were primed 5 times and then ultimately painted and sanded 5 times with a custom light grey linear polyurethane (can't be sanded or buffed-has to be perfect) The same is true with the varnish, all the wood is perfect! It was all sprayed with a HVLP system and dried in a dust free booth Most pieces have 30+ coats. The cable steering was replaced with hydraulic and the rear seat sits on a custom aluminium fuel cell (the ski pole is removable) The bilge pump is housed in a custom removable, stainless cage that is in a recessed drop down cavity (so the water doesn't slosh around in the transom) The interior was fabricated from scratch by Benny Gonzalez (hot rod fame) the seat stands are stainless and tied in with the side panels and the rear seat make the boat much stronger. I used a tweed material on the seats with Glasspar logos embroidered in key places. The glove door was fabricated from what was left of the original cabin door it houses the stereo and has the Gasspar logo inlayed twice, inside and out (Birdseye maple) All the gages are the new Gaffrig II gages and bezels and the bimini top is housed in the top of the rear seat when not in use.
