Monk 36 Trawler Hull and Interior DesignThe Monk 36 with her high freeboard forward in combination with her flared bow and molded in spray rails, is an extremely dry boat when running into head seas. With the propeller and rudder well above the deep keel, grounding damage is rarely a problem.
The interior design makes the maximum use of space available in a 36 foot yacht without encroaching on the wide walk-around non-skid decks so important to both safety and handling. Storage space is unusually plentiful even when compared with the other yachts in larger size ranges. There are 9 feet of hanging lockers in the master stateroom alone, plus 8 drawers and 3 large lockers.
