Accommodations
In terms of accommodations, no boat of comparable size comes close to the Caliber 38. Her sleeping quarters are true staterooms, expansive and private. The forward Master Stateroom has a generous off set Pullman Berth with storage space and drawers below, shelf and book rack over the Berth and a large cedar-lined double hanging locker. The Forward Stateroom features a stall shower enclosed by a plexiglass door.
The same kind of comfort and convenience is provided in the aft stateroom with its double berth, cedar-lined hanging locker and private aft-head entrance with marine shower.
The main salon is well illuminated and richly furnished in teak. It takes full advantage of 6'5" headroom and a wide beam. The result is a "living room" that's perfect for entertaining guests. Two settees offer ample seating which converts into a double berth (total of 7 berths). Both settees have storage under and behind, and teak cabinets over. The twin-leaf table folds up against the bulkhead for additional space. The aft head is located conveniently to the cockpit. Its entrances from the aft cabin or the salon make it accessible from either area without disturbing the other occupants. Both washrooms are completely outfitted with pressurized hot/cold water and shower, cabinets, stainless steel sinks with storage below and teak-framed mirrors. There is also a cockpit shower with hot & cold water.
The nav station is port aft of the galley featuring chart table with hinged lid and storage underneath, chart light, electronics cabinet, breaker panel, nav seat with storage under. The location allows good communication to the cockpit and stability in rough seas.
The L-shaped galley is convenient and efficient. It has ample storage for food and utensils, and ample counter space for meal preparation.
