Vessel Walkthrough
Moonlight has an expansive covered aft deck separated from the salon by teak and glass double doors. Through those doors is a bright and roomy main salon with large couch and dining table to port and a long settee to starboard, all leading forward to a well-equipped galley. Access to the primary stateroom with ensuite head, as well as the engine room, is to starboard down a private staircase. Forward of the galley is the pilot house and the staircase down to the two forward guest staterooms, each with an ensuite head, as well as a companionway up to the massive flybridge and boat deck. Port and starboard pilot house doors lead to wide, covered side decks and the foredeck with large forward bench seating.
Aft DeckThe full beam covered aft deck offers an open platform for deck chairs and dining. There is an anti-skid deck that leads to the wide covered side decks port and starboard. A transom door offers access to the large swim platform while a fixed ladder forward to port leads directly to the boat deck above.

Flybridge and Boat DeckMoonlight has an expansive flybridge and boat deck accessible from the pilothouse through the internal stairs or from a ladder on the aft deck. The flybridge offers a full helm with storage underneath and is enclosed with a bimini (2017) and full Eisenglass enclosure. Power Boat Guide DescriptionDuring the mid 1980s, the market demand for increased speed led Arthur DeFever to design several ââ?¬Å?Performance Offshore Cruiserââ?¬ï¿½ models of which the flush deck 53 POC proved the most popular. Where most previous DeFever yachts were built on low-speed displacement hulls, the 53 POC rides on a semi-displacement hull capable of cruising speeds in the 12 to 14-knot range.
The galley-up teak interior of the DeFever 53 POC is arranged with the salon, pilothouse, and aft deck all on a single level. A breakfast bar separates the U-shaped galley from the salon and a staircase opposite the salon settee offers private access to the 53s full-beam owners stateroom with its walkaround queen bed and ensuite head. In the pilothouse, hinged deck doors access both port and starboard side decks and a 9-foot settee doubles as a watch berth. In this layout, the VIP guest stateroom (with ensuite head) is amidships rather than forward. The second guest stateroom with v-berths and private access to the day head is forward.
The engine room has standing headroom. CAT 375hp diesels cruise at 12 knots. A total of 68 were built by Sen Koh Shipbuilding in Taiwan.
