Ready to head off to the Islands this winter then come take a look at this classic Cutter. Very good condition and well equipped, this is a true bluewater vessel that has been taken care of. The current owner has sailed her from Maine to the Caribbean, and she is ready to go again.

Nepenthe is well set up for long distance and single handed sailing.
- She has both a RayMarine auto-pilot and a Monitor self steering system. The RayMarine auto-pilot has the control head mounted at the pedestal and a linear drive mounted below decks attached directly to the steering quadrant. The Monitor is known as 'bullet proof' and provides self steering capabilities when all else fails.
-Easy main sail handling including both a Harken 'batt car' system to facilitate raising and lowering the mainsail, and a 'single line' reefing system with the main halyard and reeefing lines led back to the cockpit. You can reef the main without having to leave the cockpit.
- Vesper Marine AIS transponder that alerts you to other AIS trafffic, alerts them to you, and provides you with calculated 'closest point of approach'.
In addition Nepenthe has many upgrades for safety and reliability including replaced chain plates, standing rigging, and lifelines.

Nepenthe's electronics include Furuno 'NavNet 3D' 8 inch chartplotter and a 4kw Furuno radar. The chartplotter is mounted on the cockpit pedestal in a NavPod inclosure. The chartplotter has electronic charts for the US east coast, Bahamas, and the Carribean.

The sails are mostly in new or like new condition.
- 2017 new Doyle 120 roller furling genoa with approximately 1400 miles on it.
- There is an almost new North Sails asymmetrical spinaker with less than 100 miles on it. There is a Forespar whisker pole for use with the asymmetrical spinaker.
- There is a staysail in very good condition. 2012
- The main sail is in good condition with three sets of reefs and a Harken batt car system.

The engine is the original Westerbeke W-27 and has been well maintained. Mainenance includes new heat exchanger, engine mounts, raw water pumpt, alternater rebuild, etc. .all record available.

Comfort while cruising is almost as important as safety.
New cushions throughout, including the main cabin, v-berth, nav station, and cockpit.
Very nice dodger and Bimini for cockpit cofort
Newer IsoTherm refrigerator/freezer. The original icebox was super insulated from the inside and divided into separate freezer and refrigerator compartments. The cold plate is in the freezer side and keeps contents frozen solid, while cold air spills over into the refrigerator to keep things chilled.
- 200 watts of solar panels and 300 amp hours of house bank batteries and a separate starter battery. All batteries were replaced 2017
