Southport Boats were developed as a result of a group effort put forth by C. Raymond Hunt and a team of talented boat builder, die-hard fisherman and offshore racers. The result was a revolutionary boat design that maximized the power and performance available from modern outboards. The first of these unique, amazingly designed fishing boats was launched in 2003.

The exclusive Hunt4 Design® hull was designed to leverage the weight of twin power outboards to provide a soft, dry ride, stable platform, and easy handling. This unique design allows the boat to jump up on plane without bow rise and delivers a fantastically agile ride. Southport owners are consistently heard praising the balance, responsiveness and superb handling of their boats.

Every Southport is built with electrical systems fit for a yacht, rugged offshore T-tops and subtle comforts throughout the interior. All these features are surrounded by lines that reflect some of the most beautiful boats on the water.

In 2011, Southport Boats became part of the Maritime Marine Group LLC located in Augusta, Maine. Maritime's team of experienced boat builders ensures that the construction of every Southport matches the outstanding performance of the hull design. Not only are boats constructed with the highest quality gel coats, adhesives and composite materials, but now they are being built using modern vacuum infusion technology. Vaccuum infusion provides a stronger, higher quality product that makes a great boat even better.
