New to market...US Built at the Eastern Shipbuilding Group in Panama City, Florida. The 2 main engines are Allison 501KF Turbines (10,600HP, 30 knots). They will be taken out and the Vessel is being sold with 2 BRAND NEW Caterpillar C-18, 1100 HP Engines with a 3 year warranty.

This Vessel is located at the Seacraft Shipyard (fresh water) in Amelia, LA. and they would be very interested in tackling this reactivation or conversion project. Since 1955,Seacraft has been family owned and operated and has extensive experience repairing, refurbishing, re-powering and converting both aluminum and steel vessels.  Seacraft is the industry leader when it comes to conversions, with almost 120 conversions behind us, we have done more conversions than all our competitors combined. We are currently working on one conversion (utility boat to personal explorer) and three refurbish/re-activations jobs along with several repair jobs. We also have over 100 photo albums on the conversions that we have finished.

A Small Waterplane Area Twin Hull, better known by the acronym SWATH, is a twin-hull ship design that minimizes hull cross section area at the sea's surface. Minimizing the ship's volume near the surface area of the sea, where wave energy is located, maximizes a vessel's stability (lowers sea sickness), even in high seas and at high speeds. The bulk of the displacement necessary to keep the ship afloat is located beneath the waves, where it is less affected by wave action. Wave excitation drops exponentially as depth increases, so wave action normally does not affect a submerged submarine at all. Placing the majority of a ship's displacement under the waves is similar in concept to creating a ship that rides atop twin submarines.
